Happy February!
The month most associated with love also calls to mind a few other staples – one in particular being the color red. Most often linked to love, red has many other facets you may not have known. Don’t worry, we did some RED-search for you:
• Red is the most popular color used on flags… in the world.
• Red is one of three primary colors, in addition to blue and yellow.
• Red has been prominently depicted in artwork as far back as antiquity.
• Red is commonly misused as representing fire. In reality, flames are usually only yellow, orange or even blue.
• Red has been connected to the heart’s desires, flushed cheeks, and our primal instincts; representing our longing for joy, romance and a fulfilled life.
…now that you know a bit more about this radiant hue, perhaps you’ll start looking at the world through rose-colored glasses. (Get it?)
